This is similar to what happened to her son on 9-11. She remembers when the ceiling fell in and trapped her father, which resulted in his death. The grandfather says he is going to leave to get magazines and for her not to worry. The grandmother dreams about her time in DresdenĬoming back from her day dream, the grandmother begins to talk about how she desperately wants him to stay. He writes on her hand that he just wants to buy her some magazines. She lets him in because she is afraid that he is hurt, but all is well. ![]() It is the grandfather at the door who seems to have been at their son’s grave because of his muddy pants. She begins to worry and cannot understand who it would be. The grandmother hears a knocking at the door in the middle of the night. ![]()
